Long Beach Training, Amazing

On February 16th, Century Anger Management gave its third anger management professional certification training seminar.  This was an over sold venue, and we were pleased that everyone who wanted to participate was able to attend.  Participants ranged from social service agencies, to police personnel, psychotherapists, substance abuse counselors, domestic violence counselors, Long Beach city personnel, clergy, recovery program managers, and many more.  The training covered the "8 Tools of Anger Control", which is prominently featured in the curriculum used for the training, "Anger management for the Twenty-first Century".  We were also pleased to announce that this training was just accepted and approved for CAADAC continuing education attendees.  Probation and parole officers also like attending our seminars because it is approved by the California State Board of Corrections (Corrections Standard Authority) for the training of probation, parole and correctional officers.

Anger management is a needed intervention and our participants left with an effective, easy to use model to help work with their clients.  Century anger management recognizes that there are a variety of providers and models of anger management to choose from, and we want to again thank all of our participants for attending our workshop.  All participants left with copies of our acclaimed client workbook and companion guide, as well as the ability to purchase client workbooks at a substantial discount to help get their programs off the ground.

Our next anger management workshop is scheduled for late March in Ventura, California.  For more details, please visit www.centuryangermanagement.com or either of our partner organizations, www.ajnovickgroup.com or www.angercoach.com.

Anger Management In Recovery

According to Dr. Tony Fiore, The Anger Coach, managing angry feelings in various stages of recovery is a challenge for many people. It requires mastering specific thought and action skills and then practicing these skills on a daily basis. The costs to persons who do not learn how to regulate their negative emotions are high and include increased risk of relapse, loss of relationships, conflicts at work, loss of respect in the eyes of loved ones, and lowering of self-esteem.
